Sustainability has been Tributus' strategic direction, and in this article, we show you how we have been doing this over the past three years.
The range of sustainable materials
From the outset, Tributus has stood out by offering a range of sustainable materials, i.e., materials that have a reduced environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle, from extraction to disposal. Thus, at Tributus we use:
• recycled materials, such as recycled acrylic and recycled plastic from landfills and oceans, recycled polyester (in lanyard straps), bioplastic, or recycled paper (e.g., in honeycomb paper in packaging);
• renewable and biodegradable materials, such as wood, cork, and natural fiber fabrics (for medal ribbons);
• materials from waste or leftovers from other industries, such as wood and cork;
• recyclable and reusable materials;
• others.The decision to adopt this range of materials with a lower environmental impact first attracted customers who were most concerned with environmental responsibility, but the creative and customized solutions we offer quickly won over the rest of the market.
Sustainable practices
The implementation of sustainable practices aimed at reducing consumption and waste, and optimizing resources has been another of the "secrets" to the company's growth: creating models and designs designed to reduce waste and costs; choosing local suppliers, reducing travel and stimulating the local economy; efficient working methods, among others.
