SUSTAINABILITY AND TECHNOLOGY: HOW TO RECONCILE THEM?
These are the 5 major trends in the medals, trophies and awards sector, and they are part of Tributus' DNA.
Find out what they are in this article and why they are dictating new consumption patterns.
Although it may seem difficult, or even impossible, to reconcile the use of technology with the principles of sustainability when it comes to medals, trophies, and awards, the truth is that there are approaches that use technology to promote sustainability, both for the planet and economically.
1- Technology and energy efficiency
The best approach is undoubtedly to use energy-efficient technology that allows us to significantly reduce energy consumption, reduce waste production, choose eco-friendly materials, and reduce environmental impact.
2- Eco-friendly technology and materials
The use of technology also allows us to choose materials other than traditional ones (metal and acrylic) that are recycled, biodegradable, or come from renewable sources: wood, cork, recycled glass, and recycled plastic. This means that we are reducing, recycling, and reusing—in the case of wood and cork, we use leftovers from other industries (sawmills, cork factories, furniture, etc.) that were destined for waste, for the trash.
3- Technology and product life cycle
Technology also allows us to design the entire life cycle of our medals, trophies, and awards, from manufacturing to the day people decide to discard them.
4- Technology as an educational tool
Technology allows for the creation of interactive medals, trophies, and awards that can be used as tools to raise awareness and educate on environmental and sustainability issues. For example, QR codes can be incorporated containing information on practices that encourage sustainable habits and behaviors.
These four ways of applying technology that favors and promotes sustainability have been the key to Tributus' success —this is how we have been offering our clients innovative and environmentally responsible solutions, paying tribute to their brands. And it will be the same for you—so don't hesitate to talk to us.
