The third edition of the Odivelas Karate Open is about to take place, an event eagerly awaited by practitioners and fans of the sport, which has been gaining prominence in the national karate calendar. Scheduled for March 8, 2025, the tournament will bring together hundreds of karatekas at the Odivelas Multipurpose Pavilion.

The Odivelas Karate Open

The Odivelas Karate Open is a karate tournament in which karatekas of various age groups, styles, and competitive levels participate in a demonstration of technique and dedication.
The main objective of this tournament is to encourage the practice of sport and, in particular, to promote this martial art at a national level:
• constituting a competition of excellence, dynamism, and a healthy environment where karate practitioners can compete and demonstrate their potential;
• presenting itself as an opportunity for sporting and personal growth;
• stimulating and strengthening relations between karate academies and clubs.
The Odivelas Karate Open is co-organized by the Odivelas Shotokan Karate Center (CKSO), the National Martial Arts Association (ANAM), and the National Karate Federation of Portugal (FNKP), with the support of the Odivelas City Council.
