10th Sonseca Night Run, Toledo
The Toledo region will once again host another edition of the Carrera Nocturna de Sonseca sporting event, which will take place on August 17, 2024. Come and learn about this race and, who knows, maybe even participate.
On August 17, 2024, another edition of the well-known Sonseca Night Race will take place in the Toledo region of Spain. This sporting event began 10 years ago and has attracted more and more participants ever since.
What is the Sonseca Night Race?
This is a popular running event held in the municipality of Sonseca, in the Toledo region. The event includes races of different distances and anyone can participate, from the age of six onwards, regardless of whether they are athletes or not.
The races of the Sonseca Night Race 2024
Participants are divided into 10 categories according to their age, and each category runs different distances. The Carrera Nocturna races are as follows:
• the 5.6-kilometer race, in which the senior, master 40, and master 50 categories compete;
• the 1340-meter race, in which the under-14 and under-16 categories compete:
• the 900-meter race, in which the under-12 category competes;
• the 460-meter race, in which the under-10 category competes;
• the 230-meter race, in which the under-8 category competes;
• and the 100-meter race, in which the under-6 category competes;
The route of these races is an urban circuit through the streets of the town, starting at Plaza de la Virgen de los Remedios and finishing at Avenida Frey Gabriel de la Magdalena.
