On May 12, 2024, the city of Almeirim will host another edition of the Almeirim City Karate Cup, a sporting event that brings Portuguese and international karateka to the Ribatejo region and to Portugal. Taking place at the Alfredo Bento Calado Municipal Pavilion, the competition promises plenty of energy and excitement for all participants and those visiting the city.

The Almeirim City Karate Cup

This is a karate sporting event that includes both a national and an international competition, namely:
• the 7th International Tournament, open to federated and non-federated karateka of different age groups and weight classes;
• the 16th Almeirim City Karate Cup, open to federated and non-federated karateka of different age groups and weight classes.

The competitions will be governed by FNK-P (WKF) rules and supervised by national, European, and WKF referees, as well as invited experts.
Winning karateka will receive medals, and teams will receive trophies, symbolizing not only their final standings but also, and above all, the dedication and effort of the athletes, coaches, and clubs.

Held since 2007, the Almeirim City Karate Cup has, over the past 17 years, become a benchmark on the national and international scene, both for the participation of top athletes, coaches, and referees, and for the organization of the event itself.
