X Castro Trail Xtrem 2025
The Castro Trail Xtrem returns for another challenging trail run through the natural landscapes of Galicia, Spain. It will take place on May 25, 2025.On May 25, 2025, Barbadás will host the 10th edition of the Castro Trail Xtrem and the Xunta de Galicia Trail Running Club Championship, two important events on the sporting calendar in Galicia and Spain, with prizes produced by Tributus.
The Castro Trail Xtrem
This is a trail running event held annually in the municipality of Barbadás, Galicia, Spain, which promotes inclusion, sportsmanship, and harmony with the environment. The event was created 10 years ago by the Castro Trail Club and has been organized with the support of the Barbadás City Council, the Xunta de Galicia, and the Galician Mountaineering Federation.
It includes five races of different distances and levels of difficulty, so that everyone can participate, from beginners to the most experienced athletes:
• the 27.6-kilometer long trail, which is competitive;
• the 14.5-kilometer medium trail, which is competitive;
• the short trail of 9 kilometers, competitive in nature;
• the mini trail of 8 kilometers, intended for youth categories from 14 years of age;
• and the walk of about 14 kilometers.
The competitive events will be supervised by the Galician Committee of Judges of the Galician Athletics Federation.The Xunta de Galicia Trail Running Championship for Clubs
As for the Xunta de Galicia Trail Running Club Championship, this competition has been organized by the Galician Athletics Federation for 10 years and is aimed at clubs, with athletes participating individually or collectively, starting from the Under-16 category.
