On January 19, the city of Benidorm, Spain, will host the penultimate stage of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, one of the most eagerly awaited events on the international calendar for this sport.

What is the UCI Cyclocross World Cup?

Organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the Cyclo-cross World Cup is one of the most prestigious competitions in this cycling discipline and consists of an international circuit whose stages are contested in various European countries, such as Belgium, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Italy.

The Benidorm stage of the 2024-2025 edition

With a climate and geography that provide ideal conditions for various types of cycling, the region around the iconic tourist city of Benidorm has been chosen to host the penultimate stage of this competition. For this 2024-2025 edition, the organization has decided to make changes to the route to make it even more challenging and competitive, with more technical areas, faster sections, and greater elevation changes, with more kilometers in the El Moralet forest area.
