The World Battle is one of the largest dance, art, and urban culture events in the world, attracting the best b-boys and b-girls on the international scene and thousands of spectators to the city of Porto. The 2023 edition was supported by Tributus, which designed all the trophies awarded.

The World Battle, the Momentum Crew and the Olympic Games

The World Battle (TWB) is one of the most important and prestigious breakdance competitions in the world, organized by MXM.
Created 18 years ago by the Momentum Crew, TWB was called Eurobattle and was held in various cities in Europe. However, as it gained fame, the competition attracted more and more dancers from all over the world, and the event went global.
The Momentum Crew was Portugal's first professional urban dance group and is considered one of the best breaking crews in the world; in fact, the team is the world champion in the Crew vs Crew category.
As for breaking dance, at the end of 2020 the International Committee for the Olympic Games confirmed that it would be included among the Olympic disciplines, with its debut scheduled for the Paris Games in 2024.
