The concept of backpacking by bike
The concept of backpacking cycling involves traveling by bike independently, carrying only the essentials for overnight stays and survival in natural settings. It differs from traditional cycle tourism and allows cyclists (who travel lighter) to have greater mobility to explore different terrains and more remote, less-traveled trails or paths. This activity combines the sense of freedom that cycling provides with the adrenaline of exploring trails, and is considered one of the most exciting ways to travel by bike.
The Outdoor Cycling Series
The event Outdoor Cycling Series (OCS) is a series of bikepacking cycling races that traverses 10 regional nature parks in France, with stages taking place on weekends. Cyclists can register for races covering distances of 150 km and 350 km, with two route options: road or gravel.
