In Portugal, European Sports Week is marked by various initiatives across different sports, two of which stand out in particular—the Beira Alta Regional XCO Championship and the 2025 City of Tavira Between Bridges Race—both of which featured prizes created by Tributus.
The Beira Alta Regional XCO Championship
On September 13, 2025, Monte de Nossa Senhora do Castelo in Mangualde will host a full day of competitions—namely, the Beira Alta Regional XCO Championship and the 4th Schools’ Meet, two events that bring together athletes of different generations and experience levels with the promising young mountain bikers.
The organization of this double event is the responsibility of the Beira Alta Cycling Association, which has been promoting the sport by supporting clubs, fostering training, and launching community-based initiatives that attract an ever-growing number of participants and put the region on the mountain biking map.
The 2025 Race Between Bridges – City of Tavira
In the south, in Tavira, on September 28, the 2nd edition of the 2025 Between Bridges Race – City of Tavira, open to athletes aged 7 and older, whether federated or not, Portuguese or foreign, and of both genders. The event consists of three races: the Volta Grande, 10,300 meters; the Volta Média, 1,920 meters; and the Volta Pequena, 550 meters. Organized by the Tavira Sailing Club with the support of the Tavira City Council, the 2025 Between Bridges Race – City of Tavira is part of the regional calendar of the Algarve Athletics Association.
