The OCR Portugal League kicked off with the Urban Fit race on March 1, 2025, in Montalegre. This marked the start of the annual competition calendar organized by the Portuguese Obstacle Course Racing Federation (FPOCR), which brings together the best athletes in the sport for demanding, adrenaline-filled challenges.

What is OCR?

OCR stands for "Obstacle Course Racing," a sport involving running or walking with the goal of overcoming various obstacles along the course that test the physical and mental abilities of participants. These obstacles are of various kinds, such as crawling, dragging and carrying loads, climbing walls, climbing ropes and walls, crossing water courses, archery and paintball tests, among many others that test balance and suspension, skill and concentration, dexterity, strength, and speed, etc.
OCR is a very demanding and tough sport that can be practiced by people of all genders and ages, with different levels and categories with adapted degrees of difficulty.

The OCR League of Portugal and the 2025 races

The OCR Portugal League is one of the competitions organized by the Portuguese Obstacle Course Racing Federation (FPOCR) organizes, the others being the Portuguese Cup, the National Championship, the OCREC Call-up, and the qualifying rounds for the European Championship.
