Wooden trophies are redefining the way awards are thought of and produced by introducing a concept that combines elegance, sustainability and a connection with nature. At Tributus, each trophy is developed with the aim of reflecting the identity of each event, brand, company or entity following that concept. In this article, we highlight three examples from our innovative: the trophies for ALUT 2024, UTAX 2024 and Tavira Granfondo 2024.

The wooden trophies for ALUT 2024

The first highlight is the trophies produced for the 7th edition of the iconic ALUT - Algarviana Ultra Trail competition. The challenge was to create pieces that reflected the harshness of the race and the contact with nature, and the various classifications of the athletes.
The solution was to choose solid wood and use the same model in two formats: a larger one measuring 10 x 30 cm, for the best classifications; and a smaller one measuring 10 x 20 cm for the rest.
In addition to these trophies, Tributus also produced wooden medals which everyone admired for their design.
O ALUT is organized by the Algarve Trail Running Association in partnership with Almargem - Associação de Defesa do Património Cultural e Ambiental do Algarve (Association for the Defence of the Algarve's Cultural and Environmental Heritage), and is part of the panorama of trail running events held in Portugal and of international projection. Its routes take runners through the municipalities of Alcoutim, Castro Marim, Tavira, São Brás de Alportel, Loulé, Silves, Monchique, Lagos and Vila do Bispo.

The wooden trophies for UTAX 2024

The second highlight is the trophies for the 2024 edition of the UTAX- Ultra Trail Aldeias do Xistoan example of how different techniques and elements can be combined to create a simple yet impactful piece, 100% personalized and in total harmony with the values of an event or brand and sustainability. These pieces are made of 3mm thick wood in a 90x154mm format and are based on a 20mm wooden base:
- use of wood, ecological material;
- overlapping elements to create layers and give depth;
- printing.
Organized by the Mondego Ultra Trail Club, the Aldeias do Xisto Ultra Trail is a trail running event that is part of the AXtrail Series program of competitive events and has been held for seven years in the territory of the Schist Villages, in Castanheira de Pera.

The wooden trophies for the Tavira Granfondo 2024

Finally, we highlight the trophies produced for the 2024 edition of the Tavira Granfondo. The challenge here was to create a project of different pieces to distinguish 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, but within the limitations of the client's budget.
Tributus' solution was to produce the same model in three different sizes, made from the same material. Thus, these trophies represent our team's creative ability to find solutions that ensure organizers have prizes tailored to their budget.
In addition to these pieces, Tributus also produced medals.
The Tavira Granfondo is a cycling event that has been co-organized for five years by the Clube Bike Tavira Team, the Centro Cultural Desportivo União Ciclismo Tavirense and the Núcleo de Cicloturismo da Luz de Tavira, with the support of AP Resorts.
